Christian was born and raised in Southern California making challenging terrain only minutes away.  Adventure Racing became an addiction after the 2001 ECO Challenge was spotted on USA Network.  Since then it has been a slow gradual growth into the sport, starting with Sprint races in 2002 and Expedition class races in 2004.  2006 included two Expeditions and several 24 hour races.  The 2007/2008 season was a world tour of some of the most spectacular places.  The competition level increased to a world stage and Christian's team has responded with top finishes in International competition.  On a quest to become his very best in endurance sports, a nonstop training and racing schedule is the only way to get there.

Now the house is filled with AR gadgets and gear.  The days are filled with training, research, sponsorship, promotion, and more.  To say he is dedicated to the sport is an understatement.

In Adventure Racing, team is everything.  "I have found a great team that has the same attitude towards racing that I do", says Christian.  With all that Adventure Racing has provided him, 2009 has actually shown a temporary hiatus from the sport as he focuses on a number of solo events.  Two or three ultra-distance races have been put on the schedule in 2009 to challenge his mind and body in another head scratching sport and also to build a qualifying resume for an invite to the 2010 Badwater Ultra-Marathon (I hope, I hope, I hope).
